Our weekend with the parasites

The Ferguson lab (minus our fabulous Research Topics students) attended the annual Atlantic Canada Association of Parasitologists meeting in Pictou, NS this past weekend. Our students had a chance to share their ongoing research about mosquito and arbovirus surveillance, hunting for heartworms, microplastics and cold tolerance, and tick overwintering biology. This conference is a favourite amongst our crew of Maritime parasitology/disease ecology/immunology researchers for its top-notch science + welcoming and collaborative atmosphere. Congratulations to our students on giving fantastic talks, and we're already looking forward to next year!
